Dominos Pizza has been promoting an app in its TV campaign, asking its users to take pictures of their pizzas for a few free slices of theirs. They tell the potential user that the pizza need not be a Dominos pizza for them to "earn" some free slices. That's a clever move for Dominos, but at a cost to the app user's privacy. Has anyone else ever asked what the app might be doing to their smartphones? While I wish those who own a Dominos franchise success and prosperity, I shudder over what the app can potentially be doing. What ever happened to hard work on the ground? I think this marketing campaign is exploiting the millenials who submit photos to them. This is free labor in exchange for a piece of bread. Having someone sending them photos of others' pizzas in exchange for a "reward" is having someone else doing their research for free.
